autohit against subs

is the ratio of autohits against subs also 5%? i just can't believe it. in my seven games' first turn, 6 times my veteran sub got damaged by autohits! it seems about 20%![:@][:@][:@][:@]

Sometimes it seems like that. But usually subs get attacked by quite a few ships or planes so autohits aren't too rare at 5% each. As Axis, I enjoy those turns when the Allies attack with huge numbers of forces and do miss! Anyway, can be frustrating - but I think it works out all right in the end.

If 10 units attack, it's roughly 50% that one of them will get an autohit. Since 5%=1 in 20, if 20 units attack, it's the law of averages that 1 will get an autohit. I think the system is fine as it is, it adds a flavour of uncertainty which is good imo.

i just point out the situation, i didn't mean 6 out of 7 is 20%[;)]

I feel the same way. In one turn 4 of mine subs where autohit. And the WA didn´t attacked that 80 times (80 times * 0,05= 4 auto hits). I´d say that he had around 15-20 attacks on subs that turn... So it comes to around 20% was autohit... I guess just a bad luck...[:(]
