FrankenMod is merging Bmans mod with the one from Moriarty. The result should be great.

I downloaded the file, but all I see is a file called "system.xbg"; what do I do with this file?

You simply overwrite the file of the same name in the /data directory.[;)]

Tried it out, for the most part it works fine.
 
Except that now my soldiers can't even take 1 hit.  Even if they just get hit once with a plasma pistol they fall over dead.  Is that suposed to happen with the mod (difficulty is set to normal)?

Changing minor attributes?

Love this MOD, but I also liked that SAGEXCOM mod slightly increased weapons accuracy at the beginning and the rank structure was awesome.  Is it possible to make minor changes to the FM mode to reflect this minor attribute changes of SAGEXCOM?
Chief of the Watch... Over the 1MC, pass the word... "DIVE!" "DIVE!"... sound two blasts of the Diving Alarm ... and pass the word, "DIVE! "DIVE!"

The mod doesn't change damage at all.

the new one does. 
a plasma pistol really shouldn't knowck soldiers down in one hit.
mind oyu, on improved AI settings, they'll autofire that thing FOREVER it seems, and that can wear doown most any soldier.
