Modding Question

Post by Unhappy »

...So I'm trying to create a custom scenario starting from scratch. I create the map in the editor, export it as a bitmap (one with hexes and one without). Then create the minimap and theatre map and the allied and axis objective maps. Create the .srf file with the two required textures, four required sprites and two required surfaces (I just used the exported bitmaps for the time being - trying to create fancy maps is excruciatingly difficult [at least for me]).

However - in this totally new scenario every time I try to go into the forecast editor the thing crashes. Every...single...time. Having finally figured out the .srf files, ship animations etc. I thought that I had cleared all the significant hurdles to creating a new scenario - but I'm stumped by why the game crashes when trying to access the forecast editor. Anybody figure this out?

Thanks.
