Submarines

I know in this game you can produce submarines but will they be invisible unless they attack? I remember in Peoples Tactics that you could always see the subs and planes kept attacking them. It would be nice if they were more stealthy.

Good point, subs should not act and be seen the same as other naval units!

They are more stealthy, but large fleets and destroyers and air recon mssions can spot them. Also they have a better chance to survive combat

Thanks for the quick reply Vic, nice to see you're still scanning the forum. I was concerned at the sub aspect as I enjoy cutting peoples supply in games and you have to do that sneakily if your a sub! Will it be a case of seeing the map squares but just not the sub if you have no air recon, suface units in the area? I know that land units have a recon value but is this the same for sea units e.g. destroyers have good recon at detecting subs and battleships are bad?

Bet your really proud of this game. It does tick all the boxes for a strategy game at this level for me personally. A lot of games like this shy away from production of units but I think you have the right combination as people have choices about what to build. The game editor sounds a great addition to the game and from what I can see already from the AT website it is quite versatile. I hope the game manual will not only contain how to play the game but how to make a new game from the editor, perhaps with an example. [:D]

Can't wait for the games release. I check the forum every day for news.
