Building a Navy...

Post by jarmenia »

Can you use production from inland based cities to build naval units? In a solo game I'm playing my start city is in the middle of an island and the only costal town is a 500 production town. There's no way I'll be able to build a strong navy with just a 500 point town so I'm trying to find a way to use production from the inland town. Is this possible?

Perhaps engineers should be allowed to build large ports for ship construction as well. They should be expensive to prevent over use but it would add another use for the very valuable engineer.

You can arrange that. But what version are you using?

Disengage the masterfile or better yet make a new masterfile. Allow your engineers to make the port that builds.

In the older versions you could get maps with islands with NO port cities at all that you started on.
Favoritism is alive and well here.
