Next Version Request Thread

I'd just like to make a couple requests for the next version of Puresim. Please forgive me if this isnt the place or time I claim ignorance.

1) ability to set AI teams strategies/tendencies
2) ability to play games in multiplayer, doesnt have to be both teams can just give option of which team to play.

#2 would allow one to get around the lack of #1 and still play games.

No doubt I vote for #2 for the same reason.

I know Shaun spent countless hours getting the MP online back in the day. He even had "evil" thoughts of scrapping the whole thing and getting rid of MP altogether.

Whether this is added for 2009 or not added, my credit card will be utilized. Shaun has earned my respect and support 10 times over!

I currently am enjoying managing, but I sure have some great memories from those Multiplayer days. I still have an assn in "storage" for use one day. It's called the Random Players Association. I took players from 1901-2006, set minimums for AB and IP, then let the baseball-reference.com random page generator pick the players for me. Whenever a player page came up, I would take that player's first (eligible) year and put him on whatever team was "drafting" next. I did this until I had filled up 35 roster spots for each team.

The Albany Arrows ended up with 3 starters who are rated 100 END. Two of those three also have CONT of 100 and the other one has a CONT of 5. Strange.

I too will be looking to purchase 2009, I have become very disillusioned with the direction OOTP has taken... IMO it has become the monster that ate baseball and spat it out all over my computer monitor...

A couple years ago (?) I tried their demo. I wasn't able to do the kind of things I wanted. About the same time, Shaun was getting the MP polished up and put into play in PS. I haven't regretted a minute since.
