Prevent Movement

Post by Viking67 »

How to I keep my Base units from moving?

My Base units move periodically, at the most inopportune times. I do not want them to move, nor intend them to move. I usually detached them early in a battle, thinking this should cause them to remain in one place. Suddenly 2 days later the Base unit is dancing across the map.

Catch 'em before the run off to far and order then to defend in-situ.

If you ordered them directly to defend at X, then they should not move unless attacked and forced to retreat. You may have inadvertently reattached them or grouped them to some other unit, in which case the basing code would kick in.

BTW you may be pleased to know that for BFTB we are including a task option to allow/disallow basing.
