Inserting Financials Into the 1940s

Post by KG Erwin »

I just started with this, and in looking through the potential free agents, there are names like Bob Feller, Ted Williams and Johnny Mize. [X(] Wow! We can only imagine what the notorious skinflint owners of that time would've felt if this had happened.

I'm only partway through 1947, so I can only engage in speculation. My Dodgers don't have much free cash, but other teams, such as the White Sox, have money to spend. I elected to build in the old way, through the farm system and trades, rather than the new-fangled setup.

I've never previously used finances in my "Golden Age" associations, so it will be an experiment. I only hope that the AI is smart enough to handle the money appropriately, and provide a meaningful challenge to my quest for building a Brooklyn dynasty.
