Whats to stop someone modding AE back to WPO data??

After all, WPO vanilla was a mod of WITP vanilla.

Something for a WPO fan to work on, the big T has no control over that.

(PS I dont think WPO sold enough for too much time to be spent on an upgrade to AE stanards)

WPO forks the WITP code in one direction ... AE forks it in another ... to try to bring them together is certainly possible in theory ... but it is a stretch from a business perspective.

Now, I love WPO ... in fact ... I think once AE is done .. I'd like to settle down and play some WPO ... what I like about WPO is that it is truely a NAVAL game .. whereas WITP and AE are really Air/Log games with boats to bring the supply.

WPO forever!!!

Admiral's Edition- different hex scale, greater complexity, improved AI (maybe, hopefully, at least they're trying)

Actually, I'm trying to convince Joe to do a '30s naval game with me. But before I can even think about WPO AE I have to finish Carrier Force. Which is proving challenging.

That's good news (about WPO AE not Carrier Force problems)!

I don't know about having an AE level change, but some additional sparkle or mods might be interesting. I'm still getting used to minimal recon and the brutality of running into a superior fleet. That can be so one sided[;)].

It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?

I'm very tempted to jump on importing WPO data to AE engine... let's see just how time consuming that might be though...

Hello Tankerace,
Any plans on doing a 1914 -18 ww1 version, Far more Dreadnoughts to play with before Germany scuttled her fleet at Scapa Flow ?[:)]

Oh it would be possible - the data might be easier than the art.
