combined fleets

Post by gwgardner »

In several games my opponent and I see in other AARs players get fleets from different nations to combine in battle. I have never been able to get fleets to combine from different nations. How does one do that?

I don't think they are in the same fleet. I think it is just more than one fleet joining the battle.

Yes, they sail separately but fight jointly (without you have to do anything).

The ships in the fleet appear to find or fail to find the enemy fleet separately, without regard to which fleet they sortied in. As others have mentioned, the individual ships fight with all other ships of the side that find the enemy.

Edit: Typo correction "they sortied" replaced "the sortied".
