Tip: Utilising Combat Engineers

Post by Fred98 »

In the first screen shot we have some infantry units attacking a strong point (“SP”)

The odds are 4 to 1

In the second screen shot, I removed one of the infantry units and replaced it with an engineering unit.

The odds are still 4 to 1

Notice however that the combat screen looks much better

Always remember to use engineer units to attack SPs
( This also applies to the Battlefront game)

17.3 Engineer Units
Engineer units can be either combat units or support units. Most Engineer units can repair bridges, and a few can actually construct pontoon bridges. These details are shown in the unit popup. Combat engineers can also add a bonus to dice rolls against fortifications.
This is shown just under their Attack Bullets.

Joe - Thanks for posting these "quick" tips with screen shots - I'm slowly reading through the manual - but it's easy for things like this to lost in the massive amount of information in the manual.

Thanks!

What's up with the post Carl? I noticed the same thing on the other board. Joe is just trying to help people out and it just seems to me like your pointing out he's stupid or something for posting this information. I think forums were created for these types of topics. Maybe posting something like "you can find the exact information in the manual under rule 17.3" would make it seem like your not mocking him. end of my rant. Have a nice day.

Anything that helps my troopers to write down the Russian hordes is a good thing. More tips please.
