yes..with the "Custom map" feature in the SPWAW battle window. First unzip maps into the Map folder, start SPWAW, random Battle screen, custom map-button and choose.Originally posted by Eberbach

Don't know if this is relevant but I am running a multiplayer campaign and the players have been creating the 16 maps I'll need to cover the entire Kerch Penninsula of the Crimea. Each of these maps is 100x240 and once completed (am only 3 short) they will all fit together seemlesly.
These guys have done an outstanding job building these maps for me and I want to thank them AND once all are done I want to offer them up for use by other SPWAW scenario designers and players. With their permission I will be entering them into the contest on their behalf.
In addition I created a small island 12x12 kilometers that is made up of 64 30x30 SPWAW maps. These all fit together as well. When I get the time I'll post them to the original Map Contest thread and then on my website for download.
I urge everyone out there (even the non artistic) to give map building a try. You may be surprised how easy it is. Start small and work your way up. A true SPWAW player can never have too many maps. New scenarios, campaigns and maps are the key to the longevity of this game.

I'm not sure yet about when it will be finished..we are growing our custumers's base so we need to upgrade our network and this is demanding much of time now

Did you like the Orel's map? good

I think I didn't get what you mean with "tree surgeon"??
I'm trying to use all free time to the project... and you mate..any new project in sight?
See you

Currently am working on a sicily map for another designer mate from the forum. Lots of work and no own projects in preparation by now. But that´ll change soon!

Something else I´m doing right now is trying to translate my "Probing Stalin Line" map to Panzer Elite´s 3D format. It´s lot of fun translating SPWAW scenario to a 3D tank combat simulator and loooooots of work! It´s very interesting also to notice how off scale the SPWAW terrain features are if compared to real 3D!! Did anybody else tried it yet? Or with Combat mission/SPWAW translation?? Unfortunately the small combat mission maps don´t allow to translate the medium to big sized scenarios, but´s still very intersting.
My goal is to make a same single scenario for SPWAW, Combat Mission and Panzer Elite alike! Ambitious??? I tell ya!!

greetings

I'm In
Ok, Last night I looked at my long orphaned map of Berlin and one thing led to another and well, It is about 1/3 completed and I changed a lot of the old building to the new rowhouses. I have finiseded the Tiergarten, Kreuzberg and Mitte sections and am working on Charllottenburg, Allexandarplatz and Moabit sections.
Harry, you said at one time you had a good layout of the city. If I send you the map would you mark on it the commerical, industrial and residential sections so I can getr it as accurate as I can? Also, let me know if Tegel airfield and The wansee would be in the map as it is scaled now.
