Scenarios updated in ver 3.0?

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Scenarios updated in ver 3.0?

Will all scenarios be updated to new oob's in upcoming version 3.0? Are new scenarios included?

This is a great game. Please, don't try make everyone happy. Be strong. : )

Not right away. We are still working on adding some of the new features in to the OObs, but we don'e that to inordinately delay the new version's release.

(oh btw you'll have to fix all your scenarios...)

Some will fair beter then others. The Finns and Poles and a couple others have undergone major reorganizations. The Germans and Russians and US should be OK. So from a scenario standpoint, depending on the particualr units and countries invloved, the result may be "NE" or an "AE".

With any luck it will come out in less than a week, but some of the features may still be a little rough... We plan at least an OOB patch, and if necessary one last bug patch within 3 weeks or so of the release. possibly one last OOB fix a couple weeks after that, but then we will be taking a rest from SP:WaW for a while and catching up on some other projects.

We need to play it awhile ourselves and see how the changes stand up over time. We will also be working SP:Modern War too... And some clunking and welding noises coming from the Skunk Works :-)

Nice post, Paul.

I don't think most scenarios will be affected by version 3.0, at least from among the major powers.

We'll be reviewing them little by little, at least those emanating from Raiderland to make sure they are up to speed.

And yes, there will be new scenarios taking full advantage of the new stuff, including the six different types of objectives that will be included.

This in itself is a marvel. Now with these options (and many others), you finally have a way to make the AI do certain things, even more than ever before.

It is fast becoming the game I always envisioned Steel Panthers could be.
