Editor manual

Post by B455 »

Been wondering about what's up with the documentation about how to actually use the editor and create scenarios? The one that came with the game is...hmm, too general and a bit short. So any update on that? Thanks.

I have scenarios in mind that I would like to try out with the editor, but frankly I don't even know how to start. How to cut the map/define the playable area for instance? How I build the OB? I am missing all the basics. Is it intended that there would not be a lot of "user-created" scenarios, which quality may vary, but rather provide "official" add-on scenarios within patches...

Yes, there are plans to make full editor manual. Hopefully it will be sooner than later.

As for starting, you may take official scenarios which is closer to your scenario. Rename the scenario on the main tab, and save it.

Starting date, turns and playable areas are set on the main tab.

To add or alter OB you need to change generic data. Some examples are in tm.asp?m=2639590

Before going into scenario making, it is highly recommended to have at least some gaming practice.

Pavel,

This is great news! I'm looking forward to exploring each and every passage. This is what we need to move ahead.
