Greetings,

I've had this happen fairly often - try this: Go into your options screen, and turn combat reports off and right back on. Accept, and go back to your normal screen. Play the next turn, and when it's finished, your reports button should be back. You won't get the report for the turn in which you lost the button, but it should be fine afterwards.

Hope this helps,

Randy

By the way, this seems to happen whenever I have the game on for a long period of time, exit back to desktop, and re-start.

Naval combat blow by blow.....

Post by rhohltjr »

Has anyone noticed any new Naval combat descriptions since version 1.11? Such as
Admiral Shmo is attempting to cross the enemies 'T'! I have not as of yet.

My e-troops don't unload OVER THE BEACH anymore, see:
Amphibious Assault at Kota Bharu
TF 85 troops securing a beachhead at Kota Bharu, 51,75
whew! I still feel better.

Didn't notice?

Post by Erik Rutins »

rhohltjr,

Those descriptions are everywhere during the animation. All the animations are much more descriptive since 1.00. When you load the game, does it say v1.11 on the main screen?

Erik, I meant that I had not noticed a combat message stating what tactic such and such leader was using during ship to ship. Perhaps I am too absorbed in my burning cruisers to notice what part of the screen these tactical messages are displayed on.

I do notice/fixate on the actual hits messages displayed, and yes it is version 1.11. I really haven't played much now for a while. I am waiting for a solution to that 'click of death' problem I posted. Thanks, Robert Hohlt, Jr.:)

The messages about tactics in the surface combat are usually the first ones displayed.

If you have chosen short message delays then it it quite easy to miss them while you look at the huge TF facing your pitiful DD ;)
