how to set max MPs

Trying to add additional German units to 41-45 GC

After adding and pressing "set all MPs" from Main screen...ALL units lose Max MPs....
PzDivs go to around 42, Infantry divs sometimes lose half...even some HQs lose a couple..

What am I doing wrong?

It is all explained in the editor manual. Just joking.

I have little to no idea what any of those buttons do, so hope you get a response as any clarification as that aspect of the editor will be very helpful.

Don't forget that MPs are affected by supply and leaders as well as whether the unit is motorised or on foot etc. I'm pretty sure that what happens when you press the MP button is that the HQ Build Up effect is cleared - lowering MP to "normal" levels. To ensure max supply for added units you either have to copy and paste using units that are already well supplied or edit using the units CSV file.

What am I doing wrong?

What is the starting date of your scenario? I just tried to make the setup with 1941 GC and SET ALL UNIT MP doesn't reset anything.

In fact this function is redundant, as it runs at the start of the scenario. And if it starts in June 22 1941 Germans should get max MP.

John, does it show reduced MP when you start the scenario?

Yes. I attach the scenarios.... 1941-45 Campaign (+) is pre pressing of "SET ALL UNIT MPs" and 1941-45 Campaign(+)exp is after.

Look at the new Axis Cavalry Divs in X49,Y70 and X48,Y48 - one of each drops from 22MPs to 17MPs on clicking - odd as they are all copy/pastes of the original 1st Cav Div. Not sure it will load for you as I have added entries to the OB generic data file.
