One has to wonder?

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

One has to wonder?

What War in the Pacific/AE would have looked like and how different gameplay would be if, done with the WITE game engine and interface?

I'm still trying to get my head around supply in WITE, I keep out running my supply lines big time, logistics was so simple in WITP/AE.[:D]

One trick is to keep your Hq's and units within 25 hexes and 100 mp's of a rail head. The mp's in fair weather aren't a problem, but in mud they will be the one to watch for. I'm always keeping them near the limit in the first 10 or 12 turns before the FBD's catch up.

It's even easier to use the railroad button (r) you use when you are repairing rail.  The hexes you control are color coded as following: Clear for all areas within 10 hexes of railhead, light shaded for all areas between 10 and 25 hexes, and dark shaded for all areas above 25 hexes.  It's not perfect with foul weather since it doesn't account for off rail hp but it's a lot quicker and easier to get an overall picture of general supply without having to mouse over every unit.

So /4? So 6 hexes(=25/4 round down?) and 25 MP(=100/4) . Yeah mud is brutal. What about snow and blizzard conditions?

Thanks
