Mother Russia can and WILL be stopped!!!

But there's a technical problem!!! Rezip the files and re-send them pls. (Error in zip it says)

(But actually I think it's some kind of stalling tactic by Vikingno2 to prolong his doom) :D :D :D

The Brits are ready and positioned, hunkering down to await initial bombardment from the enemy.

Briefing:

"Expect to face heavy armor in the likes of the IS-class and the modern KV versions plus the usual splattering of T-34s. We also expect engineers and some AT-guns near our objective."

hehehehehe I wonder how accurate my 'estimates' are? :D

Anyways, your turn :D

Grrrr... did they do at least any damage?? :D I assumed your position to be much more forward than that, hence the drop 'behind' the tree line...

Some heavy artillery destroy 1 tank and scare the hell out of a few squads of infantry.

The Brits however move forward, taking up positions. Viking's recon elements are the only units I see so far... MC squads.

I have learned this turn that this saying is truly applicable:
"Assumption is the mother of all f*ck-ups"
:D

A string of 57mm AT guns are strategically positioned on opposing hills... firing potshots at my tanks, hitting some, but luckily just bouncing off.

2 or 3 IS-2s have been spotted. They fired but missed. Massive tanks...

The Brits take it slow and wait for their covering artillery before initiating their first push... Some MC squads panic against the tanks, one is destroyed.

Some of my tanks fire at the 57mm AT guns, hopefully supressing them.

The British army moves forward, taking up strategic positions.

The advance is slow and cautious as enemy AT nests are fire upon with indirect tank fire. A few tanks are also revealed, including a T-34/85. A few snapshots glance off the T-34s armor. It seems tank battles in this game might be fought from close to maximum range...

Infantry move forward, advancing slowly behind and beside tanks.

Up North, a Sherman and a Wasp is destroyed. That Wasp by a 12.7mm DSHk and the Sherman by a >100mm DT< Gun! This cannon is the one mounted on T-55s!

Are there T-55s by any chance at this time frame? :D

There's more action this turn.

I blow up a SU-57 AT half-track, wipe out a 57mm gun and its transport and destroy an IS-2.

I lose an M4 or 2 in the process of slowly creeping forward. It's beginning to feel like Kursk here with AT guns along the whole map and big tanks for support in the back.

The British army moves its flanks inexorably forward to complete its line, with fixed 17 pound guns in strategic positions.

The action heats up as a few armored elements from both armies start firing massive late-war shells at each other.

2 Archers are lost this turn in exchange for an SU-57 AT HT, a 57mm AT gun, and a T-34/85.

I also lost a Sherman I think in your last turn

The intense firefight continues as 2 T-34s are destroyed this turn, as well as 2 squads of Soviet Partisans.

The Brits are putting up a fair fight although Viking is right about the thin armor many of my tanks have.

A Sherman is destroyed by a hidden 57mm AT team. Artillery pounded on it at the end of my turn, hope it did some damage :D

Not much happen this turn, I fire en masse at a 57mm AT gun, causing around 4 or 5 casualties, I'm sure the crew will soon abandon that particular gun.

Other action includes crew vs. crew action, with my crew coming out on top, critical in protecting one of my Shermans.

Heavy artillery falls all around Soviet positions. Stop hiding you evil IS-2s!!!!!

It might be sooner than you think... at least in the middle. :)

The British forces are split almost completely in half, with the middle guarded only with one 17lb. AT gun and a few squads of infantry. Tank forces there have been effectively blasted by Viking.

I destroy another SU-57 AT-HT, a Guard Infantry squad and 2 M5 Half-tracks this turn. Not enough to turn the tide but maybe enough to slow down Viking a little. Heavy artillery (8-inch or 7.2 inch) pounds on the hidden T-34s. Hope they did some damage.
