Initiative Score of an officer?

The development team behind the award-winning games Decisive Campaigns: From Warsaw To Paris and Advanced Tactics is back with a new and improved game engine that focuses on the decisive year and theater of World War II! Decisive Campaigns: Case Blue simulates the German drive to Stalingrad and into the Caucasus of the summer of 1942, as well as its May preludes (2nd Kharkov offensive, Operation Trappenjagd) and also the Soviet winter counter-offensive (Operation Uranus) that ended with the encirclement of 6th Army in Stalingrad and the destruction of the axis minor armies. With many improvements including the PBEM++ system, this is a release to watch for wargamers!

Initiative Score of an officer?

Post by Frido1207 »

Trying to get familiar with the game in the 2nd Kharkov Scn.

There, von Mackensen can play the "Initiative Card".

The manual states (p.72), that the selected unit gets "an offensive-combat bonus
and a speed improvement in extra action points based on the Initiative score of the
officer."

Whats that said "initiative score" of an officer & where to get information about it?

Thx for any help in advance.

I'd rather think "Initiative" can be understood as "Audacity".

I believe you are right Sir.

from manual

Audacity: Determines the effect of offensive action cards.
Determination: Determines effect of defensive action cards.
Charisma: Determines effect of morale action cards.

Pay attention to the colors of the cards and abilities.

I ran a bunch of experiments with the cards, and posted the results in The War Room last night.

Makes sense. Then it would be "Intuition".

As the "Initiative Card" gives off. combat & ap boni, which both relates to the "audacity" rating, therefore budds suggestion seems also to be reasonable.

So now we have two options to guess, what effect relates to which ability? [:D]

The cards are color-coded to correspond with the ability scores of the officer. Initiative is color-coded brown, so it relates to an officer's intuition score (76 in this example).
