Turkey Hunt....Victor vs. M4 Jess
Questions:
Can a recrute with only 17 post beat up an M4?
Is this Orzel's lil'brother?
Does anyone out there have an extra can of 75mm Dimond Shot oil?
Heres the battle...I choose Goblin as my Advocate
INITIAL CONDITIONS

M4 Jess~

Im making war, not trouble~

oops!
Well, I'm not really a recruit. I was one of the first members of this forum (my original member number was 406 as I recall back in May 2000 (check out my "Where are you coming from?" thread dated 01 Jun 2000 in the main SPWAW&Mega Campaign forum)). My username back then was victorhauser, but for some reason I lost that account and had to make a new one. Hence, the vahauser "recruit" username.
But I am directly responsible for a rookie error. I forgot which was clear and which was rain and selected weather class 6 (I think) and instead of clear we got heavy rain. This will slow down all maneuvers and I apologize to Jess for that.
That said, I haven't played SPWAW much recently (for "real-life" reasons) and so I actually do feel like a recruit.
Anyway, I wanted to play a big Thanksgiving game to get back into SPWAW (I've really missed it) and I am grateful that Jess so enthusiastically gave me the opportunity to do that. He has so far displayed great sportsmanship and class. I hope I can live up to the high standard he is setting.
Oh, by the way. Jess chose Troop Quality 80 for his units and I chose Troop Quality 90 for mine. Since this was done in secret (through gmenfan), I am pleased that we got an "historical" result where the Americans will have numerical superiority and the Germans will have a slight, but noticeable, qualitative superiority.

Hi Jess,
My turn 2 is up at your verizon.net address. I knocked out a couple of jeeps and an M8 Scott. I also damaged an M-18. The fighting has been light so far, but I think will be heating up soon.
I control all the center victory clusters (at 15 per turn each), but I believe that Jess will contest them immediately.

There are sizeable wooded areas in the north and in the south of the map. I'm thinking that Jess is working his way through those two woods. I killed the usual couple of scotts and jeeps again this turn. I've killed less than a dozen units so far. I estimate that Jess has several hundred units. Where are they???

PEACE OFFERING
Hey Jess,
After giving the matter some thought, I think that the current situation is not an even and fair battle. You were not prepared for C&C ON and I'm willing to bet that you bought your units and deployed them with the idea that C&C would be OFF. I'm certain that this has had a serious effect on your side. Also, my screwup with the weather has meant that you could not contest the Victory Hexes as quickly and as strongly as you could have if I hadn't ruined the weather.
With these considerations in mind, I'd like to extend an offer of a DRAW to you now. I wouldn't feel right if I won the game under these circumstances.
