Air Operations

The development team behind the award-winning games Decisive Campaigns: From Warsaw To Paris and Advanced Tactics is back with a new and improved game engine that focuses on the decisive year and theater of World War II! Decisive Campaigns: Case Blue simulates the German drive to Stalingrad and into the Caucasus of the summer of 1942, as well as its May preludes (2nd Kharkov offensive, Operation Trappenjagd) and also the Soviet winter counter-offensive (Operation Uranus) that ended with the encirclement of 6th Army in Stalingrad and the destruction of the axis minor armies. With many improvements including the PBEM++ system, this is a release to watch for wargamers!

Air Operations

Post by demyansk »

I have a question on the air operations. When I want to soften up the enemy hex, I often have difficulty in identifying the specific planes that are allocated for the mission? It seems difficult to ascertain the different types of planes whether they're Me109's, 110's, Stukas, and/or Bombers.

How do most players do this quickly?

I hope I understand you correctly. After selecting an enemy/hex, I then hit "List" which opens a window with all your available air units. You can hover over a unit and a tooltip will pop up with the following info: Group type, Plane type & unit size, and unit readiness. Under each unit tells you where it's based and the distance from the target. You can do it this way or select "all" and deselect each unit until you are left with what you want. Hope this helps!
