Multiplayer question

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Multiplayer question

Post by Noldofinwe »

Hey all,
I'm new to this game (and no I haven't bought it yet, but thinking about it). I don't have that much time to play games lately, so what I usually do is play PBEM games (a turn a day doesn't have to cost as much time and I still have a multiplayer experience with friends). I understand that it's a 2 player game max. Are there any plans to increase this? So you can have 2 vs 1, 3 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 etc like games where you can coop vs the AI or fight in groups? I've read that there are multiple nations ingame (west-germany, Britain etc.), they could be controlled by different commanders. I always find it fun to do a turn in the evening and then discuss tactics together outside the game, but that's just me [:D]

Game looks awesome anyway!

Thanks for the question. Right now and at least through Southern Storm, the next iteration of the game engine, we are staying with 1 v 1 format. We have had some other players bring up the other formats and it is on our long range radar as a feature to add/support.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
