having multiple generals with Napoleon

Post by gwgardner »

Is there any reason to have other generals with Napoleon's force, if one never risks him in battle?

For instance the 1805 scenario starts with Napoleon and 5 other generals in the same stack. They don't really represent corps commanders, since corps are not represented in the game. They don't offer any help in battle.

So simply disperse them? Maybe leave one with Napoleon, in case he has to split to Paris or or another stack.

I would leave one general with Napoleon just in case.
The others are useful for moving reinforcements around when they arrive.
If you conquer Spain it is wise to keep one down there to deal with the partisans.
