D-day to the Ruhr

Post by tverse »

I am playing D-day to the Ruhr as the allies. I’m thinking of doing bomb strikes on some key bridges in order to slow down the Axis rushing troops to the front lines hopefully giving me less to deal with while establishing a foot hold. My concern, will this cause me problems later as I push toward Paris also I am not sure I will have engineers later to repair the bridges. The few engineers I have seen early in the fight don’t seem to have bridging capabilities.

Anyone have any thoughts or anyone played this scenario before?

Hi tverse - This is a new scenario so no one outside of its' development team has played it.
I would say in reference to bombing bridges, its up to you to determine if it is worth it. The Allies had the same decision to make.
The Allies get Engineer units after a couple of turns.

The battle of Medjerda is almost forgotten, but was fought against highly disciplined German troops and blasted a route straight to Tunis it was a perfect infiltration battle and should be remembered as the best fought British battle of the war.
