Fuselex`s tutorial for new players :).
Read the scenario description , depending on how many beers you have had, either start the game or spend the rest
of the night surfing the net reading about the 138th rifle division :)
Presuming you will try to play one scenario before the temptation of looking up -Captain Wladyslaw Raginis- kicks in
you should ( depending on whether the scenario allows you to place units ) place units where ever you feel like
with no real plan. Personally I like to just click a unit and throw it into any available hex.
All the HMG`s in one hex is fine . An officer with no squads is one of my favourite tricks.
I personally avoid reading the victory conditions , It feels restrictive ,do I really have to take that victory point?

After a few turns of getting your units butchered you may be tempted to lose faith in my advise

This could be seen as wavering from- fuselex`s book of military disasters- but for a new player the best advise
i can give is read the forums and ask questions.

fuselex,

Yeah that beer thing can be a problem. As the evening goes on it can sometimes really affect your ability to read.
Throw a shot or two of bourbon in there and its off to the land of nod.

Dreaming away with all my TotH units in command, then the nightmare hits "Rico's Su-100's come into view from Desperate Measures!"...[X(]

That people appreciate my scenarios, I want, but that I prevent them from sleeping, it is unexpected![:D]
