Soviet Dawn Beta Test Ausf. A

Germany At War: Operation Barbarossa 1941 is an elegant turn-based design, inspired by classics such as Panzer General, but with more of a historical focus. You command the German forces through a branching historical campaign covering the entire 1941 campaign as well as part of the 1942 campaign. Dozens of scenarios stretch from the Soviet border all the way to Archangel and towards Astrakhan, the original military goals of Operation Barbarossa. Step into a wargame where your performance will rewrite history, through an addictive combination of compelling gameplay, realistic events and challenging battles.

Soviet Dawn Beta Test Ausf. A

Vyasma 1941

I met this strange bug, the game does not want to validate my Brilliant Victory ?
The problem is that I reached the 150 damage during the AI turn.

When I opened the scenario with the editor, I thought maybe the problem is the "equal" comparator.
I have already encountered this type of problem in another video game (OoB WWII).
If the damage goes from 149 to 151, the Event will never be validated.
Instead of "equal" maybe it should be better to have "greater than or equal" ?

Moscow 1942

2 problems :
- Typo in Enemy Objectives
- the number of turns and victory conditions: normal victory for soviet = 22 turns (same number of turns as for brilliant victory ?), normal victory for german = 26 turns

I know it’s a detail but maybe Romanian Bunker Garrison would be better than German Bunker Garrison on this front line :

Rumyantsev

2 questions :

1. Campaign tree
A loss at Rumyantsev brings me directly to Chapter III Revenge North (2nd Smolensk). Is this normal? No choice North or South?

2. Partisans
I had a defeat because of the number of turns too short but I never saw the Partisans appear?
I don’t quite understand the conditions in the Editor.
Perhaps with the help of the Partisans I could have won?

Moscow 1942:

The normal victory is now expanded to 26 turns, typos have been removed and i adjusted the combat strength that needs to be destroyed to 200 as this looks a bit better to me. Thanks for your reports.

Bagration

If we lose in Bagration, we get a message that we lost and then after we hit "continue" we get a blank page before we go back to the "main menu" :

2nd Smolensk

If you lose the scenario "2nd Smolensk" you continue with "Leningrad 1944", normally the campaign should stop

The AI is smarter in the new version. Just tested the Staraya Russa scenario and in a situation where I would get an easy victory in 1.08, the AI was still recruiting reinforcements and defending Demyansk. After some thinking I took Demyansk by the end of turn 16 but I did not get it as a gift.
The art of war is simple and esay to understand but fighting a war is hard.

Kursk-Rumiantsev

Should not the objectives that the Russians should not lose instead be surrounded by a blue circle as is the case in the scenarios Road to Demyansk or Kalinin 1941 for example ?

At the beginning of the scenario, the objectives to be captured by the Soviets are surrounded by a blue circle and once a target has been captured by the Soviets, the target is surrounded by a red circle. It should be the reverse.
