1.0.4: 'no clear shot' for Mortar with direct LoS

1.0.4: 'no clear shot' for Mortar with direct LoS

It seems as when I place Mortar teams on spots where they see enemy units, it makes it difficult for them to fire at targets: They ignore most fire orders with "no clear shot" message.

Mortar units not spotting/seeing enemies are firing as usual.

Is there something I missed or am I hitting a bug?

If you have a save of this situation I am sure it would help to work out what is going on.

The green bar is not representative of a mortar shot. It represents their smaller arms though we can see they have mortar ammo. Do they not use mortar rounds if the crew is too few?

Pip, unfortunately I didn't save. I will do next time I encounter issues and upload accordingly. I probably wait for next beta and retest one the first few maps...

Bagpipe, what I did is move this particular unit to another spot (further back the map), and then it started firing. In general, the status "no clear shot" is rather misleading for an indirect weapon.
