[Logged, awaiting feedback] Savegame not remembering repeatable loop function and rangesymbols

Post by Kimura »

Title says it all:

1. My loaded savegames do not recognize anymore that I defined my mission-ref-points as repeatable loop.
Instead there pops up a "polygons are crossing itself" warning-message and in the mission-editor
"random within area" is shown instead of "repeatable loop".

2. After loading a savegame always rangesymbols for all units are shown although "selected unit" was chosen before the game was saved.

P.S. Thank you - great work again, dear devs!!!

Logged for investigation.

Can you provide a save file for us to speed up the resolution process?

Really would love to do but am not allowed to upload files here.

"Upload requires at least 255 posts"

Is there any other way?

P.S.

Bug was with an "out of the box" - scenario. Canary Cage.

Happens every time after loading a savegame.

Also in other scenarios.

Maybe you should try too.

Create an ASW-Mission and give it a serpentine search-pattern.

"Movement Style" is set to "Repeatable loop".

Mission works great and the ASW-units follows the serpentine-pattern dropping sonobuoys.

But saving the game and reload it, the "repeatable loop" option switched to "Random within area" and an error-message appears right after loading.

After toggling back to "Random within area" mission is working again.

Range symbols are not part of a game save, but are part of the game option settings. Or personal map settings.

is the "Movement Style set to 'Repeatable loop'" working under 1121.5 when save is loaded? Has to be saved under 1121.4 or higher from memory.
