Salerno Scenario Map

Post by canuckgamer »

I must say that the map for Salerno scenario looks really good. I was wondering why parts or all of some hexes have a lighter shade of grey which sometimes makes it appear to be pyramid shaped if you know what I mean. I know in the Tunisia scenario the hills are designated and also have a small triangle in the hex. Thanks.

Those are mountain hexes without woods. The gray is the result of light effects from the beveling tool in Photoshop...to make it look like a mountain. If there are woods in the hex (like adjacent hex to the northeast), this tends to dampen the gray effect.

Thanks, just a comment/question about terrain effects. When I click on the TEC icon on the left side of the screen and pick mountains it indicates:

Defense effects
Armour 50%
Infantry 150%

When I click on a mountain hex on the map and then right click, one of the displays is Attack Modifiers and the icon for infantry displays 1.5 while the armour icon displays 1/2. Shouldn't this read Defense effects so it is consistent with the description on the TEC?

I know the defense effects are correct...but I'm not sure about the labeling. I need to look into this. More to follow...
