AI Air Assist Question

Post by actrade »

At the end of the ground phase, I hit the AI air assist and it keeps building a priority zero depot right near the front and air dropping on it. I am losing transport planes like crazy when it does this. I wasn't aware that the AI assist would ever build a depot, much less automatically fly freight to it. How do I prevent this from happening yet still use AI assist?

I didn't know it would build a depot either. Can you attach a save before you run the AI assist (or email to 2by3@2by3games.com). Thanks.

I saw a similar case to this in a different bug report with an RtL save. I have bugged it. It does appear the AI assist can create depots, which is unintended, so we will fix this.

Just got home and was going to send you a save. Easily reproduceable. It appears that it has something to do with captured airfields as the two places I see it every time in the RtL scenario are Valmiera and Siauliai. Doesn't seem to happen at all captured ABs, but definitely those two.

Joel - it goes back to another report I had on the playtest forum. Everywhere the AI Air Assist flies in supplies it creates a depot (at no AP cost).
