I have extra supplies sitting in ports, yet Allied units are getting basic port supply.

You will have some units in basic supply until you take Antwerp. It is designed this way.

Is it that after 30 hexes, supply for a port is not used anymore? Seem to remember something like that from the manual.

Even after you capture Antwerp you will have several units in basic supply. Not until you also capture Amsterdam and Rotterdam will you have enough supply for a reasonably sized (ie historical) land force. Even then you will not have enough supply for more than a few air units. However, you may not notice this as I believe that with air units you don't get a message telling you that they are only in basic supply (but I could be wrong about this, I will have to pay more attention).

I agree the Allies should have supply problems as they advance towards the German border. The Allies were motorized and this burned a lot of fuel. But from an Allies perspective I have 3 problems with the current rule set:

1. The 3 ports of Antwerp, Rotterdam and Amsterdam are all size 9. Only Antwerp should (historically) be this size. At the same time almost all the French ports (except Marseilles) are smaller sizes than they should be.

2. It was only while they were on the move in the late summer and fall of 44 that the Allies had serious supply problems. Once they stopped moving during the Winter of 44/45 they were able to build up massive stockpiles of supplies. The result was that by the Spring of 45 they were able to fully supply a much larger army and air force than the one which had had supply problems in the fall of 44. Yes they had liberated Antwerp, but Rotterdam and Amsterdam were still in Axis hands. However, as I said, in the game the Allies will continue to have supply problems even after capturing all 3 Belgian and Dutch ports.

3. While the game makes an effort to duplicate the Allies supply problems. It makes none to duplicate the German supply problems. In Normandy it was the Germans, not the Allies, who had serious supply problems.

Right now the game majorly favors the Axis.

-Allied supply problems
-Soviet units surrender out of nowhere
-Axis can take Vichy lands the turn after they surrender
-etc

Wait till some of the new rules have been played. Hubert is still balancing his SC3 Europe and it is 3 years older about.

I don't believe the majority of rules favor the Axis at all.

1) Garrison rules is a huge bonus for the Russian speed bumps. They did little to nothing before.
2) Unlimited naval bombardment is just plain devastating in North Africa and France due to so much coastline.
3) Allies can invade Allied favoring neutrals with little or no consequences...Luxemburg(forces the Axis to attack the Netherlands which is okay but now you are forced no longer a choice), Greece, Norway...
4) CV strikes against land units is really powerful, more so than a LBA, especially the first attack.

Al is there a way to know what the limit is?

For the Allied supplies in France?

In the screen shot there are 2 level 9 ports not providing supplies.

You said until they get Antwerp they have supply issues.
