Forbidden hexes

Post by CHINCHIN »

It seems that the AI only takes into account the final destination, and not the path to follow. In the first drawing Finland is at peace with the USSR, and by passing through those two forbidden hexes they gain control of them. In the second drawing the control of the UK hexagon does not change, but it does go through it.

However if you try to move directly into those forbidden hexes you can't.
My native language is Spanish, and no English language mastery, sorry.

I'll look into it. The path finding is very complex.

The A.I. uses the same formulas as the humans on path finding.

The Finnish situation is a bit tougher as to how the code was originally structured. Some variables I forgot to take into account since there are so many.

Like the "Hey that's my stuff that you now control, but we aren't fighting over it, but I am very mad about it" variable.

I think I got it now though.
