Axis Invasion of UK and U.S Entry

Post by canuckgamer »

Looking at the game notes I see that there is no bump to U.S. entry if the Axis invade the UK, only if they take some specific cities like London or Southhampton. I would have thought there would be an increase if they invaded at all just like there is if they invade Ireland. Am I missing something?

Nope, there is no incremental movement unless the Axis takes enough cities on the list to reach 100. My feeling is that there should be a per turn ramp up starting at some point (June 1941 ?) of a couple of points a turn. That way if they take any of the cities on the list, the US entry will move and the more they take, the quicker the US is in.

The US entry will not advance until it reaches 100, yet every city does have a small impact as the US entry is also a multiplier of the base production. So if the US is at 25%, it produces only at 25% capacity. A 15 point city will bring it to 40% for example. Not as nice as coming in early, but still something.
