Napoleonic Europe

Post by ernieschwitz »

I have been working a bit on a Scenario that right now is called "Napoleonic Europe". If someone has a better name, they are welcome to suggest it. If I find it hitting that sweet spot, I'll rename it. The scenario is a remake (with extras) of the "Age of Napoleon" scenario from the Scenario bank. So if there are any similarities, that is the reason.

Anyway, here is a short of the Strategic Map, so you can see what I am talking about:

Here is a picture of an area of the map (you can probably guess where) from the editor in regular zoom mode.

Nope

Still in the works :)

But I'd love some encouragement. :) Motivation, or lack thereof, is what kills most scenarios.

A bit more work.

This time I am showing off my flags and icons. With 14 playable regimes, it is quite a few. I have collected them all in the graphics shown here:

They are of course subject to change, if I find out I don't like something.

What do you think?

how did you solve the oil issue, as that is needed to transport replacement troops and stuff, or am I incorrect.

Regarding the pictures/graphics, I am all good. Maybe had I known earlier I could have saved some time making the ones I have. However if you have some generic officer ones, I would be happy to get those from you. :)

As for the strategic transfers requiring oil. You can set it to costing no resources at all, in the rulevars. So there is no oil problem. However I have disabled strategic transfers in this scenario... It seemed wrong to have it. The AI plays surprisingly well without it.

A lot of smaller and larger changes have taken place since I last wrote. Here is one of the bigger ones: Got weather to work :)
Weather.jpg
Weather.jpg (145.73 KiB) Viewed 2145 times
Weather changes every time it becomes a new month. There are 4 weather zones, and the weather in them is different, but still tied to the season the month says.
