Enemy naval gun, accuracy, and damage increase with latest patch.19

Rule the Waves III is a simulation of naval ship design and construction, fleet management and naval warfare from 1890 to 1970. and will place you in the role of 'Grand Admiral' of a navy from the time when steam and iron dominated warship design up to the missile age.

Enemy naval gun, accuracy, and damage increase with latest patch.19

Post by MaddogStarman »

Sir’s

I am curious as to the increase in enemy naval guns and armor piercing damage in the last patch .19
I have experienced extreme long range penetrating fire with damaging hits, on gun turrets, engine room and Structure = I would guess in one instance was the bridge due to my BC, not being able to target any enemy vessels (Target box empty)
I have also found with the last patch that destroyers, for the most part get slaughtered, and have to launch torpedoes from extreme range, and with low torpedo hit probability and the torpedo firing solution/firing angle bug/troubles it pretty much makes destroyers useless.
Playing as German empire year, 1915 in a war with Russia. The poorly led uneducated and terrible at technology Russian navy is slaughtering my navy? I have been reading posts by EwaldvonKleist > (a.k.a EK ) and it appears on occasion we run across the same issues. I’m going to start a new game as Germany 1890 and if any bugs or these issues arise, I will learn/try to do the saved file copy that you folks at Matrix like.

Please excuse any misspellings and or grammar. I have a brain injury and use iPad talking text as opposed to typing and misspellings and grammar are the least of my worries in this world.

Thank you for your time
I salute you Sir’s 07

I'm not going to outright say you are wrong - but there are several factors to consider when fighting in war:

Crew Quality is important, and whilst Russia does suffer from slower improvements, they may have activated their fleet early enough to have higher quality crews.

Likewise, they do gain tech points more slowly than most nations - but that doesn't stop them from buying technologies in or buying ships from more advanced nations (tensions permitting).

You may be deploying faulty tech, which takes several months to identify and give you an option to fix the problem.

Finally, Gun Quality is also important, and also much more random - they could have better quality guns which translates to more range, better penetration and better accuracy than your guns.

I don't know how to check on tech issues, but the rest of the issues can be checked by looking through the various files in the save folder.
