Hot-key assignable views

In late stage large games, I find myself spending an inordinate amount of time moving between various different fronts and usually end up skipping one. Dwarf Fortress (steam version) has user assignable 'views', which link F-keys to specific views around the map, which I find to be a great help there. Something like that would be really nice in SE to help lower the impact of late game micro-management.
