Editor confuses me - trying to build a Panzer General Mod

Hello,

i try to build a Panzer General-esque mod with the Kursk '43 scenario.

My most important struggles at the moment:
-Tanks should have a huge disadvantage to conquer and hold towns, forests, swamps and hills and should slaughter Infantry on open fields.
-Infantry should get an advantage to conquer and defend towns, forests, swamps and hills vs. Tanks.
-Pioneers should have a huge advantage to conquer towns, forests, swamps and hills.
-if possible tanks should fire only once per turn.

It doesn't work as intended. I tried several stat changes, testet, testet, testet, made a 180 degree in the stats, tested again. But it doesn't come close to my suggestions for a modification.

I need help. Could someone take a look?

Hi

The number of strikes a unit has can be set in two areas:
- Edit Country Data -> Edit Combat Target Data
- via Research upgrades. Armoured Warfare is set to increase their strikes, so if you amend this one, it should mean that tanks only have 1 strike. This can be found at Edit Country Data -> Edit Research -> Advanced -> Upgrades -> Automatic Increments.

Terrain advantages/disadvantages can be set in two areas:
- Campaign -> Edit Defense Bonus Data
- Campaign -> Edit Bonuses/Penalties Data

I think it is the second of these that you will want to take a look at. There are already penalties in place there for armoured units defending urban resources, but you may wish to increase these.

If you have not already done so, I strongly suggest opening up the Manual and looking through Part 2 on Designing your own Campaigns, as you may find more information of interest there.
