Supplies on version 11.28b

Post by cirrius06 »

Hello everyone,
For a few years I have only played the RHS or Reluctant versions and now I have started a PBEM with version 11.28b.
I remember that with version 11.27 the big problem for the Japanese was the "fuel".
In the new version the problem is the "supplies" ! :o
The Japanese find themselves after a few months short of supplies even in the motherland. :|
With "oil" we make "fuel" in the game but with what do we increase the production of supplies ?
With "resources" ?
Thank you for your help.

Light Industry, Heavy Industry, and Refineries all produce supplies in the basic game. In some mods, the supply production was removed from refineries.

Heavy industry is the "heavy hitter" when it comes to supplies as it produces twice as much as light industry. Capture hexes that have industry to help out....

Light Industry (LI) needs Resources to produce supply. Maybe you don't have enough Resources in the Home Islands and LI there is idle?

Check your LI, HI, and Refineries on the Industry tab. Then look for the red "X" which means that there is a problem, then you can see what is needed there. You can sort these for those working and those not working by clicking the "failed" tab up top.
Seek peace but keep your gun handy.

I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing! :o

Thanks guys for your help.
I don't have a red "X" in the production panel.
Currently, in March 1942, Japan produces 319,920 resources (per month or year ?, I don't now) and it says disabled product 11,380, and Tokyo alone produces 25,336.
I'm currently importing as much as possible from abroad, but my supply reserves are constantly dwindling.
I'm surprised no one on the forum has noticed this...

No, practically not, because I was more used to looking for as much fuel or oil as possible in the other versions.
I never lacked supplies, hence my surprise.
So I'm going to "develop" the industries.
Thank you.

keep in mind you need to watch both ends of the spectrum, how to "develop" but also how you USE them, thus GP's warning as expansion uses lots of supply.....

Yes, of course, we have to go there gradually now, especially since I have about 100,000 supplies left in Tokyo, the other big cities in Japan are at 20,000 to 25,000 supplies.
It's certainly very weak in mid-March 42... :(

The first time I played as Japan I made the mistake of rapidly expanding, even though I had read various cautionary notes to watch out ! . I also almost ran out by the end of '42.

That's your problem right there. The overall amount of supplies in RHS is OBSCENE.
