I LOVE this game.Just learning would like to play short scenaroi PBEM.Can I get a Hard copy manual anywhere? How important are operational points and how do you receive them. Thanks

No hard-copy manual. A real pity, that.

OPs are actually penalties (if thought of in a certain way) which you see accrue as ships perform any kind of OPeration (refueling, movement, planes taking off from carriers). Each ship has 1,000 OPs to use per turn and this dynamic takes a bit of getting used to. Be delicate in the use of your OPs and they'll serve you much more efficiently.

My advice is to be very careful in reading the manual for certain aspects of the game.

See the skip bombing thread I started below. I figured it would be a great way to get accuracy at the expense of losing alot of planes. I had a carrier advantage anyway and was looking to win the battle through attrition.

Apparently you cannot skip bomb with carrier planes, but the manual omits to mention this.
