Changing map names and other questions

Post by KNac007 »

A custom scenario will show up with the name the scenario files has, for example if i name the scenario file for my scenario "NA" and it''s based in Nijmegen map in game will show up as "Nijmegen - NA"

How can I do for it to have an other name like "Attack at Nijmegen" instead of "NA"?

An other question, I set up various objectives to begin at day 2/3 whatever, but in-game, even if they are to begin at day 2 or 3 they are viewable from the start, and in objetive screen they also highlighted.

Minor questions but just want to know...

The naming function is part of our dev tools. I would recommend creating your scenario with the name you want as the filename, for example "Attack at Nijmegen.AAS".
An other question, I set up various objectives to begin at day 2/3 whatever, but in-game, even if they are to begin at day 2 or 3 they are viewable from the start, and in objetive screen they also highlighted.
This is correct, all objectives are visible in the objective list at game start. You should see that objectives that have not started yet show up greyed out in the objective list, and are not displayed on the map unless you select them in the list.

On question two, I expressed myself wrongly.

What I mean is that they appair on objective list but are not greyed out (they apaird like if they were day 1 objectives) and in the map they are displayed even if you haven't chosen them.

On question one, thanks. I don't know why but I opened one of the originl scenarios in the scenario editors and in the gme now it doesn't show up correctly (it's seen with the file nme, ie: Nijmegen: N_Coup). Not the same time it happens, in the other computer lso hppened nd to fi it I had to reinstll scenario file. Not a "kill game" problem though [:D]

Crap I typed up a reply but it got eaten somehow.

Basically if you save an official scenario in your ScenMaker, it will lose the title. If you want to edit an official scenario, save it under a different name first. This is to help prevent compatibility problems in online play.

Your objectives don't sound like they are behaving correctly. If the Start Time (not the H-Hour) has not yet arrived they should be greyed-out etc. and not visible on the map. If you like you can send the scenario to our support email address and I will take a look at it for you.

Thanks, will do when I get at hand the computer where I have it.

About the other issue, I suppose I saved it by error, as I just open them to check somethings like reinforcements, objectives, etc.
