Running out of fuel

I've skimmed through the manual, but not spotted anything regarding this (my apologies if there is something in there). But what are the options if you run out of fuel?

if you run out of fuel use thrusters and run...

/\ What Pheagey said. I got shot a couple times and had my engine fried, so I could on use my reverse thrusters. So, I turned my ship around and flew back and landed - backwards. Woot. But yeah, your not completely dead in the water, even with no fuel or no engine.
