Hmmm...thats not right! question about loading

Post by andytimtim »

okay heres the deal...i was playing UV (obviously!!) and decided to load a few troops onto some transports (mostly HQ, ENG and a INF)

anyway, i left them to load onto the transports (i figured it would take three/four turns to fully load)

after the second turn i checked to make sure that the troops were loading, they were,...left it for another turn only to find out that the troops had all unloaded?

hows this? if it is fully loaded does it instantly unload? i dont understand?

one more thing...is it ok to load supplies first them troops? i want to make sure im doing everything right!!

EDIT- wait never mind, i just reliese you have to choose a DH first, otherwise it will start unloading!

should've paid more attention to the manual![:'(]

Just finished downloading Witp 1.20 patch so I can answer you...

Yes troops are loading too fast in UV.I have got the same reaction the first time I played.

You can also load supplies:
setup load troops only( no supplies)
setup load troops and your transport will start to load troops first, then load supplies if they can.

In UV when loading troops use ships that equal 150% of the units load value. At the start of the turn make 1, 2 or 3 ship TF's for each unit that you want to load, then load the unit. Then load supplies on seperate ships. At the end of the turn combine the TF's carrying troops into one TF, add escorts, and set the DH. Set the TF with the largest capacity AP's "follow" the other one. After one turn at sea you can combine them.[:)]

Bon voyage!
