Okay I'm drooling. Is this game for real??? It sounds very good. Then again, so did Hearts of Iron once upon a time. I see all sorts of great things in the writeup, but I wonder. If this game does everything it says it does and plays well, I could get very excited about this one. [8D]

Where was the news that Matrix is picking this up? From the screenshots and detailed descriptions, it looks like Western Civilization Software may be close to going gold and looking for a publisher. Not too different than Sonalysts working with Battlefront to release Dangerous Waters. A surprise announcement, several weeks of forum chatter, and then boom! the game gets released. Wow! When it rains it pours, eh?

Hint to Matrix. If these games are about to be released at the same time, please consider a 2-for-1 Napoleonic bundle offer. DON'T MAKE US HAVE TO DECIDE WHICH OF THESE GAMES TO BUY. [:D]

LOL
Nelson stood on deck and observed as the last of the Spanish fleets sank below the waves…

Hey, HOI is a great game...

Your kidding....

Sorry but the game was totally flawed for me for several reasons the main one being realtime.

I hate Turn-Based Games. But, live and let live I guess.

Let me see if I can clear things up:

1) real-time games blow.
2) turn-based is better.
3) turn-based with simulations turn resolution is better still.
4) turn based with sim resolution and secure PBEM is best.

Case closed.

So, you feel like forcing your opinion on someone who just said "Live and Let Live." Thats a very quick way to lose respect.

I seek not the respect of "real-time" so-called strategy players....

I know its not really the forum for it but what does everyone think of Imperial Glory?

I thought it had some nice ideas and looked good but absouletly hate the Age of Empires style combat!

No morale factored in units fighting to the death and whats with the peasants that are as good as regualr troops in H2H combat? Another total crap result despite the potential.

It reminded me a little bit like Medevial Total war in the campaign map. If they had tried something like that for the tactical battles it may have worked.

Also some of the units bug me! Grenadiers a cheval appears to be in there instead of dragoons for some reason.

ach.

It is frustrating that PCs have so much power available now but noone can bring out a half decent Napolonic one.
Heads up by god, those are bullets, not turds!

Imperial Glory is nothing for serious wargamers.

However there is in fact a decent Napoleonic 3D tactical game called Les Grognards.
Check it out at Histwar.com

I was reading in this forum, a long time ago now, that EIA would have a feature to import battle results so Les Grognards could be used to resolve the battles since it also has an OoB and map editor. [:)]
