carrier battles

Post by Manfred »

I have noticed that sometimes when I attack an ennemy carrier fleet with my own carrier planes from another area, the ennemy carrier planes will attack my fleet in answer, so 2 aeronaval battles are fought one after one.
the problem is that I haven't found how to look at the battle report of the first battle (my attack), I have only the battle report of the 2nd battle, and I can't find how to check the exact result of the first battle [X(]

(not sure that my post is clear, sorry for the poor english BTW [:D] )

Yes, that's the carrier counterattack mentioned in rules section 8.6.1. It does appear you only see the combat report for the counterattack, although the first attack does happen and losses are scored properly. I'll see if we can find a way to get information on both battles to show up (either combined or in two different actions). If you have combat animations you will see the first battle resolve and then see the second battle resolve, with the combat report only detailing the second battle results. If you see a counterattack will happen, you might want to turn animations on just for that battle (Preferences screen, change Combat Animation Delay to a number greater than 0 to see the combat animations).

by the way is it possible to change preferences by tweaking a file? I would like to keep combat animations, but at a speed of say 020 seconds a shot?

Just click on the number in the preference screen and you can set it to another number. There are some min/max values allowed.

yes I know that Joel, but I would like to reduce under 0.50 seconds the delay, and the interface dont allows for it. So I was wondering if it was possible to change the value directly in a file.

You can change it to .1 by clicking on the number and then entering .1 in the box that pops up. I was able to get it to go as low as .01 by typing in .02 (yes, that's a small bug).
