PBEM turn replay?

Post by dobeln »

Short question:

Is there a PBEM opponent turn replay function, and if so, how does it work?

PS.
If not, are there plans to implement the feature in a patch.

There is supposed to be a VCR function according to earlier discussions in this forum. Have not played it yet myself, but people who have can probably fill you in on it.

Replay Current Turn button on the top menu bar will show you all players' last turn.

That button works in single player games too. It is not just for PBEM.

That way if you get a phone call while the AI is taking its turn, you can watch the replay.

Any way to see the combat animations in the replay?

I play right now 2 PBEM games but I would´like to see the "animated combat screen" to see what happens exactly. Without the "rratttaaa" the game feels so bloodless...

No, but if you click on the "burst" icon when the battle report comes up you can go to teh detailed combat screen and see all the engagemnets lined up with die rolls. hoverin gthe mouse over a line and you see the combat modifiers broken out.

NOte that the Die Roll Modifier to defense is usually a modification to evasion, just applied in DRM form.
