Amphibious assaults- can't do???

Post by Crash »

Hi all! I just bought this game a few days ago, update to the latest patch but I have a problem I can't figure out still, maybe it's a bug?
I've been playing as the germans and I can't seem to do an ampibious assault anywhere. Whether I built a transport link anywhere or carry troops over, I get the message "illegal move" when trying to land. Same story when trying to attack a port. Am I doing something wrong? Every other country under computer control seem to not having this problem. I have tried with different sides and it's the same story. Please help me out here!

Welcome Crash

For an amphibious assault you will need more than one transport in each sea zone you need to cross. When you look at the numbers below the Transport, the middle number has to do with normal transport ability, and the one on the far right has to do with amphibious ability. With one transport that far right number is a 3. You need a 5 to move a unit for amphibious assault. 2 Transports will bring that number to a 6 giving you enough for the assault. You will probably want more transports if you are moving a lot of troops.

[:)]Thanks! I knew there was a simple explanation for it. There's alot one needs to learn in this game so I might be back with more questions down the line.
