Thank You All

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Thank You All

i am so glad to see a great turn base wargame made of this quality. i am so sick and tired of first person shooters and realtime games. theses turn base wargames are like playin chess with a greater degree of difficulity. the craftsmanship of cog is great. lots of options and ways to play. tactical turn base combat!!! awesome, thank you. the main problem with EU is its reatime. there is no way a player can play any of these types of games in reatime. there is way to much to cover and too many choices to make. at any rate i am thrilled with this game and am looking forward to playin against humans. once again matrix comes through with a QUALITY TURN BASE WARGAME. thanks to all who made it happen.[:D]

Well… I like FPS & RTS games and I don’t think that I will ever get sick of them , they are fun. I am glad that CoG came out. It is a very good wargame with a lot of detail. And it works better the more you play with it. Why… I don’t know? It is one of those cases were your computer has to get use to the new software. And the more you mess around with it the faster and better it gets.

And a thank you is close at hand with a patch or two.

Well, can you teach me how to play? I can't match up to the complexity. [:'(]

MAtrix have a fair few quality turn based wargames here. ALso try HPS.

I cant stand RTS game. Ive owend and played countless and only two games stand head and shoulders above all others. Close Combat and HTTR.

FPS are great for a quick thrill but become tiresome quickly.

I can not stand RTS either but then I play EUII, HOI2, and Crusader Kings from Paradox. Guess the ability to pause and think while you play helps in the regard.[:)]

Although the Paradox titles (HoI2, etc) are technically RTS.. I don't think of them in the same category as games such as Age of Empires and such like. I think of HoI2 as a real time wargame rather than an RTS..

HttR is excellent.. probably my favourite system for tactical wargaming.. can't wait for CoTA.

i second this! i also cannot stand real time games! ive never been able to fully enjoy the paradox games because of the real-time aspect. this is just the type of game ive been looking for and i just discovered it and realized what a find it is! tactical turn based combat is the way to go! if they turn this into a civil war game ill be in heaven! between this game and war in the pacific ill be very busy! will definitely have to try HTTR and CoTA soon! have heard lots of great things about these games!!!
