Can't close roster screen

Post by Sonny »

I brought one player up from the minors and sent one down. Now when I try to close the roster screen it syas my lineups are invalid - but it does not say what the problem is. I used the assistant to set the lineups thinking I had gotten something wrong but still got the same message.

This game is getting more frustrating with every series.[:@]

I downloaded the "demo" 8.2.1 (or some such number) which has since been taken off the server since the release candidate was put on the server.

Sonny: Do you have too many or not enough players in the majors? Do you have too many players on your team overall? Look at the bottom of the roster screen and look at the stats about your rosters. I think if anything is off, it'll be in red. Also, if someone is on the DL, if you pick up a player to replace him, it may give you the invalid roster message as well. Also, are you using the latest release, the Gold RC1?

dpstafford: PureSim was on sale until PS joined Matrix Games. I believe he has halted sales until the current beta is released. It's in RC1 status now.

It is also necessary to have lineups set for both the minors and major leagues. You may have a valid major league lineup, but have a hole in the minor league lineup, esp. if you promoted a player.

Thanks that was the problem - I forgot about the minors. Wish the message would have told me but things are ok now.

Yeah, forgot about that. Knew I was missing something obvious.

Yeah, just one of those newbie things. Once you learn it you really don't ever forget it.

The reason I knew the answer is because I've done the same thing.

PureSim Baseball is not currently for sale.

Those playing either purchased PureSim 2003, PureSim 2004, or PureSim 2005 back in Shaun's self-publish days, or as one poster indicated picked up a free trial version which is no longer available.

I think the game is a few weeks away from the first Matrix release of it, so you'll just have to hold out for a moment or to. Trust me, the game is worth the wait!
