Under the manager tendencies for each team, use the "Auto Rest Player" feature. You will have to select which level is best for your teams. I use the "when tired or worse" setting and it seems to work for me. Keep us posted on how the association fares compared to real life.

I think my next association will start in 1969 as well. I want to keep free agency out of the equation. I want to know how many more titles the Oakland A's would've won after 1974 with Catfish, Reggie, Campaneris, Rudi, Bando, Tenace, Fingers, etc. still on the roster.

I did use that feature and still had over 35 player who played 162 games

I had Baltimore defeat Cinncy 4 games to 2 to win the World Series

Some on things for the season

Don Kessinger led the majors with 115 stolen bases, Matty Alou was a close second with 112
dont understand why so many
Dave McNalley went 28-7 for Baltimore
and i only had 12 players bat over .300
Hank Aaron and Reggie Jackson tied in homeruns with 45

So crank it up. Auto-rest on "Okay or worse", and see what you get.

You can also play with the .XML file to cause each game played to tire players out a little more, or to cause them to recover more slowly between games. I don't have time to teach you how this afternoon, but if you search for
COST_START
COST_APPEAR
RECOVERY
you will have found the correct place in the .xml file. WARNING: don't edit your puresim.xml - copy it over, make say a 'my_changes.xml', and use the 'Choose .xml file' from the league Options screen to import it - that way, if you're unhappy with your changes, you can revert back to the default.
also what does auto juggle lineup mean

This is a setting for how frequently you want the AI to 'step in' and adjust the lineups for the team. For example, if you've set your most powerful slugger in the #4 spot, but he gets off to a really slow start to the season, this is controlling how likely the AI is to change things, dropping him down to 7, 8, or 9 in the lineup and putting somebody who IS performing up into the four spot. Personally, when I'm managing one team, I say 'never' - but if you're managing every team in the association and simming huge chunks of the season at one time, you should probably let the auto-juggling happen fairly freqeuntly.
