perfect game listing

Post by Edward »

I had a combined perfect game thrown & no mention of it in PSPN or notable pitching performances. [&:]
Is there a way to modify the notable performances? There are certain achievements that happen too frequently to be considered notable in my book.

You can edit the file user.xml to raise the threshold for certain things like hits, rbi etc. You can not edit out shutouts though.

This is my user.xml file:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<USER>
<CONFIGURATION preserveballgfx="true" animateball="true" autoBackupDatabase="true" autoBackupInterval="0" autoCompressDatabase="false" continuousAuto="true" pbpSpeed="2" pbpSpeedCustom="1499" PSPNFreqDays="7" SoundFX="true" GrayFX="false" ShufflePix="false" AutoLineups="true" SkipFX="false" force1024="true" color_mode_256="false" manual_mode="false" save_all_boxes="true" save_all_logs="2" speech="false" debug_0="false" debug_1="false" debug_2="false" debug_3="" debug_4="" debug_5="" showteaminfowindows="true"/>
<AUTO_PLAY_CONFIGURATION stopNewPos="false" stopShortList="false" stopInjury="false" stopTrade="false" stopNoHitter="true" stopDLEligible="true" stopPSPN="false" stopDeadline="true"/>
<SHOW_README>false</SHOW_README>
<MAX_TEAM_TRANS>150</MAX_TEAM_TRANS>
<LAST_ASSOCIATION>C:\Games\PureSim2005\psa\Quick Association 1.PSA</LAST_ASSOCIATION>
<GAMECAST ScoreBoardX="258" ScoreBoardY="0" InfoWindowPBPX="252" InfoWindowPBPY="607" WindowMatchupVisX="14" WindowMatchupVisY="623" WindowMatchupHomeX="805" WindowMatchupHomeY="624" WindowLineupVisX="16" WindowLineupVisY="427" WindowLineupHomeX="805" WindowLineupHomeY="428" WindowTeamVisX="11" WindowTeamVisY="0" WindowTeamHomeX="807" WindowTeamHomeY="2" WindowButtonsX="377" WindowButtonsY="114"/>
<!-- These settings are used by PureSim's Highlights page to determine what constitutes a highlight -->
<HIGHLIGHTS>
<BATTER Hits="6" SB="4" HR="4" Runs="8" RBI="9" Doubles="5" Triples="3"/>
<PITCHER Hits="0" K="14"/>
</HIGHLIGHTS>

</USER>

The bold section controls what you see in highlights. I won't see 3 home run games for example, only 4 or higher.

Except for shutouts, I have very few things in my highlights.

P.S. I don't know if this affects PSPN stories.

One thing to note is that PSPN doesn't (last I had one, anyways) know about a 'perfect game' - it reports it as a 'no hitter'. Also, 'combined' games are never reported in any location, so no tweak you can make to the highlights section of the XML would have gotten you what you're looking for.
